A hark back to the 1960's

A hark back to the 1960's - Trains of Thought

A quick visit to the West Somerset Railway to see Hymek D7017 running. And the weather played ball.
With D7017 running, it gave the opportunity to recreate the British Railways Western Region of the 1960's. The 8.45am from Minehead with through carriages to London Paddington exchanges tokens at Blue Anchor.
With thanks to the DEPG
D7017 has been running at the WSR far longer than its 13 year BR career.
Built: 1962 by Beyer-Peacock (Hymek) Ltd, Manchester
First allocated Depot: Bristol Bath Road (82A) on the 8th January 1962.
Withdrawn from service: March 1975
