Exmoor Dark Sky Reserve II

It was a night with a good forecast for clear skies, so I headed up in to the Exmoor National Park, home to Europe's first International Dark Sky Reserve. Even though the moon was due to rise shortly after 2200, I felt there was a small window of opportunity for an image of the Milky Way. It was an exhilarating feeling to sit in the 'middle of nowhere' as the darkness fell, with a surprising silence all around, waiting for the night sky to unveil itself.
